Our Story
Sea Silk Travel started with a simple frustration: why is booking a Red Sea liveaboard so complicated? Why do travelers end up on the wrong boat, or miss out on incredible experiences because they didn’t know the right questions to ask?
We decided to build something different. Something that combines deep local knowledge with the convenience modern travelers expect. A service that feels like getting advice from a friend who lives and breathes Red Sea diving—because that’s exactly what it is.
We’re just getting started, but we’re already helping divers from around the world discover the magic of the Red Sea, one personalized recommendation at a time.

Maisara
Founder & Red Sea Expert
Egyptian, based in Sweden
Maisara is the heart and soul of Sea Silk Travel. Born and raised in Egypt, he’s spent more than a decade exploring every corner of the Red Sea—from the legendary Brothers Islands to the remote southern reefs of Sudan.
What sets Maisara apart isn’t just his diving experience—it’s his network. Years of relationships with liveaboard operators, dive centers, and local guides mean he knows which boats are truly worth your money, which crews go the extra mile, and which routes will give you the experience of a lifetime.
Now based in Sweden, Maisara brings that insider knowledge to divers across Europe and beyond, combining his Egyptian roots with a Nordic perspective on quality and service.

Keijo
Co-founder. Operations & Technology
Estonian, based in Finland
Keijo brings the tech and business backbone that makes Sea Silk Travel run smoothly. With a strong background in business management and technical systems, he ensures that every booking, every communication, and every detail is handled professionally.
But Keijo isn’t just the “tech guy”—he’s a passionate diver himself. His enthusiasm for the underwater world means he understands what travelers are looking for, from the first inquiry to the post-trip follow-up. He knows the difference between a good dive trip and an unforgettable one.
Based in Finland, Keijo handles the operational side of Sea Silk Travel, building the systems and processes that let Maisara’s expertise reach more divers while maintaining that personal, boutique feel.
